Nutritious Foods for Good Oral Health
Many nutritious foods, like milk and vegetables, contain a certain amount of sugar. However they should not be avoided in a nutritious diet. Be sure to read food labels and choose foods and drinks that are low in added sugars. Added sugars are often found in pastries, cookies, candies and soft drinks. Instead, choose a more nutritious mix of foods including, complex carbohydrates, nuts, vegetables, plain yogurt and cheese. Keeping a food diary for several days to record all foods and beverages eaten is a great idea. Then it can be compared to the food pyramid for tweaking.
